In most strawberry rack systems, plants sit close to the light. Space is limited, airflow matters, and production runs for months without stopping. What we saw again and again was that high-power fixtures were not the answer. They added heat, forced larger spacing, and made it harder to keep every shelf consistent.
So instead of asking how powerful the light should be, we asked a different question: How much lighting does a strawberry rack truly require, and where should it be positioned? That question led us to a 40W linear LED Grow Light bar format.
A long, narrow light matches the geometry of strawberry racks. Lower wattage allows close placement without stressing the plants. Multiple bars per layer create even coverage, not hotspots. This approach makes the lighting system easier to scale, easier to repeat, and easier to control across the entire rack room.
The same thinking shaped the spectrum choice. Strawberries don't grow in clean stages. Vegetative growth, flowering, and fruiting often happen at the same time. That's why the spectrum was designed to stay stable across the full cycle, instead of being optimized for only one phase. White, blue, and red form the base, with IR added to support flowering and fruit development over long production periods.
In short, this light was designed to behave like a tool for daily production, not a showcase fixture. Something growers can install, forget about, and rely on season after season.

Strawberry grow racks are long, narrow, and installed at short distances from the plants. A 1200 mm linear LED Grow Light fits this layout naturally. Mounted along each shelf, the light spreads evenly across the planting area with a 120° beam angle, avoiding bright centres and dark edges. The result is more uniform PPFD across the entire tray, which directly affects fruit size and consistency.

On grow rack systems, lights are placed close to the canopy. Using high-power grow lights often creates unnecessary heat stress and limits how densely lights can be installed. At 40W, this linear LED grow light bar is optimized for short mounting distances. Growers can use multiple bars per layer to build clean, repeatable lighting layouts without overheating the plants or the room.

Full spectrum with IR, suitable for the full strawberry cycle
Strawberries flower and fruit continuously, often with different growth stages present at the same time.
